Driving Miss Rose
You have seen the movie "Driving Miss Daisy". Well, I just spent the last couple days driving "Miss Rose" and I can tell you, I know just how that driver felt. I love my momma, and I mean I love her dearly. She is an amazing woman. She has been a widow for 40 years now. She was widowed at the age of 35 and single handedly raised six children. I am so very proud of her, but she is quite the little "back-seat driver"! She is so very independent, she had to be, and she is just not used to giving the control over to anyone, especially not her youngest child! We went to Kiowa Oklahoma to visit and decorate my daddy and baby brother's graves. Not a happy thing to do... we miss them so much. But we made the best of it and leaned on each other for support. We cried and we prayed alot. We drove around and we reminisced. We came home through Arkansas, one of my favorite places on the face of the earth! We visited Terra Studios, where they create the Bluebird of Happiness figurines. The gardens there are just so charming, I can't even begin to describe every little detail! Then on to Eureka Springs, the Victorian village that they call little Switzerland of the Ozarks. Then shopping in Springfield. I purchased fabric to make more lovely tablecloths for Shady Gables. All in all, it wasn't so bad. Here are some more pictures of our trip...
