I am having the most fun hosting Princess Tea Parties in the new party room at Shady Gables, Rita Jane's Enchanted Cottage. I love hosting the children. They are so full of joy and enchantment. I play "Grandma Ima Little" and one of my employee's plays "Fairy Princess Butterfly". We also have a puppet, Rita Jane the mouse. The little girl's range in age from 4 to 8. When they arrive, they are invited to dress up with the array of Princess dresses and accessories that we have stored in our Victorian closet. Then "Fairy Princess Butterfly" turns the girls into real Princesses. Then we have a little age-appropriate Ettiquette lesson. Then we have our special Princess Tea Party. We play a game with Rita Jane the Puppet; sing to the Birthday Princess; blow out the candles on the Teapot shaped cake; open presents; sing another song; open favors... Then say goodbye to all the new "sister" Princesses! At the party last Saturday, one little girl commented that Shady Gables must be a "magic" house! I assured her, that Yes, indeed, Shady Gables is a "Magical" House! Oh, what fun we have!
